Seedy 04:03
There’s something growing in your head. but I cannot fear what happens next We got fair warning from the men, for all the things we’ve done in life I’ll try to keep up with your stride. As we journey to that special site. I will take your seed and plant it in the earth. I’ll take it to the mountainside and show you what I’m worth- There’s something growing in my skin and even now it’s shaming me I was looking for a friend impatiently I searched for you A visage lay there in your stead Filling me with lust. Regret. Will you take my seed and plant it in the earth? Take me to the mountainside and show me that I’m worthy of you. If you’ll take the thing that grows in me, I’ll take the thing that grows in you We’ll grow together as two trees Upon the mount-the world destroyed We shall live in entwined We shall live entwined in the end.

The Cave 05:39
Imagine men living in an underground cave They are bound by their heads and by their feet They only see the flames’ shadow on the wall “Oh, these strange prisoners do seem like a Strange image to me.” Behind the men a road extends in front of the flames Travelers pass with animals and objects held over their backs The puppets make the flame shadows on the wall “But these strange prisoners don’t see How strange their lives do seem!” Imagine now that someone comes to set one free The prisoner turns to face the flames and back to his old reality Confused and dazzled the flames reveal things as they’re meant to be As they’re meant to be seen There’s a passage! past the shadows to somewhere new He starts to see A strange beacon brighter than his eyes have seen A blinding light can mask more than the darkest screen At first the shadows, reflections then objects, then the stars above At last! At last! At last! He can see the sun! But if he goes back to tell the prisoners what he’s found Well they’ll take his life when he stumbles back to his former self

Dual Case 03:21
One day, I fell in love with the moon The sparkles in her eyes The craters in her face Oh! That mysterious frown. Stop keeping me up! I’m trying to sleep. I have fallen in love with the sun burning my face With her smile I will burn Stop keeping me up! I’m trying to sleep I thought my big mistake would be little I should have listened to the birds. Who said

When I am laid, am laid in earth, May my wrongs create No trouble, no trouble in thy breast; Remember me, remember me, but ah! forget my fate. Remember me, but ah! forget my fate.

Overture 00:59

The winds-they didn't want you to sail You thought that you sought honor in the god's petty tale You found your hearts could only kill For futile glory of a girl When Achilles is at your back You say, "Don't worry, He cuts his foes in half" You thought the man he'd meant to fight Would end the war outright When Hector slew the hidden man Now a lover's wrath with deadly hands When Achilles is at your back Your say, "Don't worry, He cuts his space in half" He'll drag your body through the town. For a week Until you're bruised and battered Bones are shattered, Scattered round the earth You open up your eyes and you scream "This can't be!" Must it be? Muss es Sein Es muss sein, es muss sein.

Statues 05:08
This seems harder than before to do the thing that I’ve loved for so long. In the past I’d just start going And legends would come to walk along They would sing of their life As they guided me on their way
Every voice seems to find its end.
Every voice does find its end. At first, you’ll find the road is cluttered The voices clamor for you to go the way they’ve been Soon you’ll find their voices falter Their limbs grow stiff as marble. Oh, their end! In the halls of the rich man stand statues in a crowded maze. He’s collecting all their inscriptions To show the world he has something to say. Someday your find yourself in a lonely place With no one to guide you on your way You’ll hear a voice that you thought you left behind calling out your name
Some voices don’t seem to find their end Their statues just start moving again (Some statues just start moving again Some statues just aren’t moving again)

Why do I feel like I have something to hide? First, my clothes then you take me aside To a private room where no one is around Your hands all over, nothing is found None of this is real This world you’ve built is frail Inside your walls you have the rain The children run about, they have no pain The beautiful girl takes her picture again Preserving a life which sees no end. None of this real. No This world you’ve built will fail Outside your walls there is a desert Where people only have the water in their skins. Beneath the walls the red river flows While the price of blood sits within Please move your hands and let me be I’d rather soak in blood and leave. Why do I feel like I have something to hide? First, my clothes then you take me aside To a private room where no one is around Your hands all over, nothing is found None of this is real This world you’ve built is frail None of this real This world you’ve built will fail

Touria 05:01
You didn’t have to buy me bread I’ll eat yesterday’s instead I think my clothes will be just fine I like to wear them more than twice You can rest your eyes They needn’t work for me Please compromise Sparkle, Sparkling Touria You worried when I was out late. Calling me back home where it’s safe You did give me all your love I felt that I was your son You did praise your God I am sure you found His paradise Sparkle Sparkling Touria Glisten, Gleaming, Beaming, Shining Touria Pedro was sure that you were a flower. I didn’t see until you wilted away I didn’t see That you were a flower. Sparkle Sparkling Touria Glisten, Gleaming, Beaming, Shining Touria

Moses 05:27
Never once before has the sun ceased to set For a man, Except for me I walked with Moses to Sinai The moonlit path we strode I almost found enlightenment Until the Russians brought the cold The souls of Sinai All trapped in a scream Moses wants ten bucks from me Joshua fit the battle of Jericho Surround the walls the trumpets blare.

Pill 03:10
If we’re going to be honest now Last night before I went to bed I took a pill to help me sleep If we’re going to be honest still After I took that pill I felt that I didn’t want to wake up But I Did

Rex 05:00
Oh, Rex! When shrink is on his binge Rex, he goes to talk with him He was sayin “I was sitting in the tub when my wife came up To the bathroom door. It was shut She began to yell as she opened it up” Oh, Rex! I just divorced your ass! He said Good, Who’s moving out? Back at the bar he begins to shout. I’ve been married six times and I just can’t figure it out! The shrink says Tell me about your father Tell me about your mother Rex says There was a great explosion in my father’s barn My mother ate rat poison as her means to mourn My mother ate rat poison when my father did burn My mother ate rat poison after I was born The shrink says, Oh, Rex! Oh, Rex! Can you love your mother? She was doing the best she could.

Two Joes 04:29
Early Sunday morning setting up for church Big Joe, he got surprise. Boom, boom, BOOM And the roaring engines. Screaming like hell from the skies While the men lay sleeping in their beds. Fighting off their drunken sleepy heads Two Joes who nobody knows aren’t coming home for Christmas this year Big Joe is staying in the chapel in the field He’s never going to leave that paradise. Walking back from breakfast seeing what they’d done Little Joe, he let out a cry As he took up arms As he fought for his friend Those two joes didn’t get to say good bye While mother boils cabbage in the vat And sisters stuff peirogi plump and fat And from the door a knock was heard, oh so lightly. Two Joes who nobody knows aren’t coming home for Christmas this year Little Joe is staying at the foot of old glory He’s never going to leave that paradise. Two Joes who nobody knows aren’t coming home for Christmas this year They are staying in the music of their nephew And they’re never going to leave that paradise.

N.O. Kinslow 04:05

We’ve been guarding ourselves from each other Guarding ourselves for as long we can remember This picture reveals that we once could trust each other As I lay my head in your arms Quietly sleeping You’ve been guarding us now. Me and my brother Guarding us from the wars of your father You’ve broken the cycle it seems Of a family trapped in that sea But you’re left Quietly sinking to the deep Your father never saw the war Is what he said They didn’t know the tide Would keep them stuck in the sand The bullets fire and death May have stayed within that bay But he brought home something more When he got stuck in that day. Let’s stop guarding ourselves from this water Guarding ourselves We’ve proven this vessel can keep The currents trapped in the deep But let’s sink it Piece by piece Peace by peace
